Hotel Stay: Hyatt Regency Milwaukee

The hotel’s central location made it convenient for us to access all the attractions we had visited throughout our stay.

Discovery World:

Our journey began at Discovery World, a science and technology museum located on the shores of Lake Michigan. This interactive museum offers hands-on exhibits, a virtual reality experience, and even an aquarium. Our kids were entertained by the interactive displays, especially the flight simulator, where my  son felt like he was reaching for the stars. We spent about and hour an half because we have some flight enthusiasts .

Betty Brinn Children’s Museum:

Geared towards children 10 and under, the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum is a great space for creativity and imaginative play. The hands-on exhibits encourage learning through play, fostering curiosity and problem-solving skills. My kids particularly enjoyed the pretend city where they could explore different professions and roles.

Milwaukee County Zoo:

The Milwaukee County Zoo is a must-visit for families. With over 2,000 animals representing over 300 species, it provides an educational and entertaining experience. One can easily spend hours exploring the various exhibits, from the playful antics of the primates to the majestic big cats. The train and tram rides around the zoo are also a big hit with the little ones.

A fascinating institution that offers an immersive experience for curious minds of all ages. As you enter, you will be greeted by lifelike exhibits that transport you back in time. The Streets of Old Milwaukee exhibit is a hit with the kids, allowing them to step into a recreated 19th-century streetscape. From the Butterfly Vivarium to the Dinosaur Gallery, the Milwaukee Public Museum proves to be an educational adventure that captivated our entire family.

Mitchell Park Domes:

To get some natural beauty, we headed to the Mitchell Park Domes, a trio of glass conservatories that house a desert oasis, a tropical rainforest, and a show dome. Walking through these biodomes was like taking a journey around the world. The variety of plants and climates amazed my kids, and the seasonal light shows in the show dome added an extra layer of cool experience.

Boerner Botanical Gardens:

Located in Whitnall Park, the gardens feature themed areas, including a Rose Garden, Rock Garden, and Herb Garden, providing a peaceful escape for families. Kids will love exploring the vibrant floral displays and wide-open spaces, perfect for a family picnic or a leisurely stroll.

Tip: Check the garden’s events calendar for family-friendly activities or educational programs during your visit.
